Centre for Rural Prosperity and Development

CRPD FOCUSES ON:

Community Mobilization and Trainings

Community mobilization and training are conducted targeting Community-based organizations (CBOs), opinion leaders, youth groups, women groups, and law enforcement officers. Given the inequality in access to and control over resources in favor of men, lack of confidence and prevalent illiteracy among women, lack of involvement of women in leadership, and high drop-out rates for girls; trainings and seminars are conducted to pursue gender awareness focusing on women and other marginalized and minority groups’ empowerment.

Advocacy and Networking

CRPD advocates and promotes sustainability, participatory and community-based approaches and promotes cooperation, information, and experience sharing harmony of working Relationships, and coordination of activities. Specific activities for advocacy and networking include training, and seminars, promoting the creation of and participation in forums for the exchange of ideas, and information, among others.

Research and Information Dissemination

CRPD conducts research aimed at revealing priority needs for development, and identifying problem areas and challenges in specific areas. The information gathered is made available to all Stakeholders and interested development actors.
