Centre for Rural Prosperity and Development

Who We Are

The Centre for Rural Prosperity and Development (CRPD) is a Community Service Organization (CSO) established in January 2008 to address the unique needs and challenges of minority and marginalized communities in rural Somalia.

CRPD is dedicated to implementing effective and sustainable humanitarian interventions that empower and uplift these underserved populations. Through collaborative partnerships with local stakeholders, government agencies, and international partners, we strive to bridge the development gap and foster inclusive, equitable progress for all community members, regardless of their background or social status.

Our interventions encompass areas such as education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, and capacity building, with a specific focus on empowering ethnic minorities, women, religious minorities, the economically disadvantaged, and other marginalized groups in rural areas. We aim to enable these communities to thrive in a holistic and resilient manner, addressing the systemic barriers and inequities they face.
